Our Design Process

Working on a new home project can be daunting. With so many important (and often permanent) decisions to make such as renovating a kitchen, choosing furniture and paint colours, or custom joinery, no wonder it can be stressful!

At Altivo Designs, we are here to help you through the process, making it an enjoyable experience while creating a bespoke design tailored to you and your family’s needs.

We’ve broken down the design process into 3 simple steps:

Step 1. Discovery call

To work out which design consultation best suits you, we offer a free discovery call. If you’re feeling phone shy, you can also contact us via Instagram or email. After we’ve spoken, we’ll send you a link to book your initial design consultation.

Step 2. Initial Design Consultation

All of our projects begin with an initial design consultation. This allows us to get to know you and your project, timeline, vision for your new space, etc. We have 2 design consultation options available, depending on how in-depth you’d like it to be.

Step 3. Design Fee Proposal

After your consultation, we’ll prepare a detailed design fee proposal, based on the discussed scope of works.

Most proposals will be emailed within 48 hours, but more complex, larger renovations and builds can take 1-2 weeks. The proposal will outline the project brief, the fee for our services and our terms and conditions. Once signed off and the deposit is paid, we’ll get started!

Every project is unique and tailored to your needs and requirements; however, most projects will proceed like this:

  • Site meeting to measure the space and take photos (we will laser scan your home for larger renovation projects)

  • Concept Design

  • Selection of colours, finishes, fixtures and materials

  • Design presentation

  • Design development/working drawings

  • Construction

  • Final styling and installation day

  • Your stunning new space is ready to use!

Please reach out if you have any questions regarding our design process or are unsure which service would suit you best. We’d love to hear from you.
